The Broken Arrow, OK residents in this case discovered that their 2012 Kia Forte had been stolen from their residence on a recent Friday. The LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased turned out to be an excellent investment. With LoJack’s help, the vehicle was recovered by police later that same day.

On June 27th, 2014, the Kia’s owners contacted the Broken Arrow Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activates the LoJack unit concealed in the Forte, which was installed at Ferguson Pontiac Buick GMC in Broken Arrow, OK.

A short while later, a trooper with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol picked up the silent homing signal from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The trooper located the Kia near East 11th St and South Sheridan Rd in Tulsa, where it was parked and unoccupied. The Forte was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owners.
