The owners of a business in Las Vegan, NV, had last seen their Toyota 8FGU forklift on June 20th, 2014. When they looked for it almost two weeks later, it was missing. These victims were glad that their machine had been protected with the LoJack® system when it was purchased. Local law enforcement, with help from LoJack, recovered the forklift in less than an hour and a half after activation.

On July 1st, 2014, the Toyota’s owners contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report their machine was missing. Officers verified the theft and entered the forklift information into the State and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the forklift.

A short while later, officers with the LVMP Downtown Area Command and the Nevada Highway Patrol began picking up the silent homing signals from the stolen machine with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Toyota was located in an industrial complex on South Highland Drive. The intact forklift was retrieved and soon returned to its thankful owners. The investigation is ongoing.
