The owner of a 2014 Toyota Corolla parked it at a business in Dracut, MA on a recent Monday. When he exited the building, his vehicle was gone. Thanks to the excellent work of local law enforcement, with assistance from the LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased, it was recovered quickly and safely.

On May 20th, 2014, the Toyota’s owner contacted the Dracut Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Corolla, which was installed at Westborough Toyota in Westborough, MA.

A short while later, officers from the Haverhill Police Department began picking up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Toyota on Kimball Avenue, where it was parked and unoccupied. After a brief surveillance, the Corolla was retrieved and soon back in the possession of its rightful owner.
