It was late on a recent Sunday evening when the owners of a Honda Civic in West Valley, UT, discovered their car was missing. Local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system that was installed when the vehicle was purchased, took less than 60 minutes after activation to recover the undamaged vehicle.

On June 29th, 2014, the Honda’s owners contacted the West Valley City Police Department to report that their car had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Civic, which was installed at Scott Robinson Honda in Torrance, CA.

Less than an hour later, an officer with the West Jordan Police Department picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer located the Honda parked and abandoned in an apartment complex lot. The intact Civic was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owner.
