This case involves a Dodge Ram stolen in Las Vegas, NV, and recovered the same evening by local law enforcement with an assist from the LoJack® system that was installed when the pickup was purchased.

On June 4th, 2014, the Dodge’s owner contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report their truck stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Ram, which was installed at Chapman Dodge in Las Vegas, NV, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers with the LVMP Southeast Area Command picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen truck with the LoJack tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the truck in an apartment complex lot on Boulder Highway, where it was found parked, abandoned and intact. The Ram was retrieved and soon returned to its thankful owners.
