On a recent Sunday, the owners of a Ford F-250 left their truck at their home and went out for the day. When they returned that evening, their vehicle was missing. Thanks to local law enforcement, with the assistance from the LoJack® system that was installed when the pickup was purchased, it was recovered in less than an hour and a half after activation.

The Ford’s owner contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report their truck stolen on June 22nd, 2014. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the F-250, which was installed at Friendly Ford in Las Vegas, NV.

A short while later, LVMP officers picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the intact Ford abandoned in a shopping mall parking lot on West Cheyenne Avenue. The F-250 was retrieved and soon returned to its relieved owner.
