The LoJack® System Helps Multnomah County, Oregon Sheriff’s Office Recover Stolen Cadillac Escalade

This case involves a Cadillac Escalade that was stolen overnight from Gresham, OR. The owners awoke Saturday morning to find that their SUV was gone. The LoJack® system that was installed at purchase helped local law enforcement make a fast, safe, same-day recovery.

When the owners discovered their Cadillac was missing on June 14th, 2014, they immediately contacted the theft was discovered it was reported to the Gresham Police Department. Officers Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Escalade, which was installed at Tustin Cadillac in Tustin, CA.

That same afternoon, a Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office deputy received the silent homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The deputy located the Cadillac on SE Roberts Avenue in Gresham where it was parked and abandoned. The Escalade was retrieved and soon returned to its happy owner.
