While the owners of a Lincoln Navigator in Seattle, WA were sleeping in the wee hours of a recent Wednesday morning, someone was stealing their SUV. Their local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system concealed in the vehicle, were able to recover it that same day.

On June 18th, 2014, the Lincoln’s owner contacted the Seattle Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Navigator, which was installed at Coggin Nissan in Jacksonville, FL.

That same afternoon, a Seattle PD officer received the silent homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer located the Lincoln near 34th Avenue East and E. John Street where it was parked and abandoned. The undamaged Navigator was soon returned to its appreciative owner.
