The owner of a Honda CR-V was working on a recent Sunday when he discovered that his SUV had been stolen from his company’s parking lot. Thanks to the excellent work of local law enforcement, with help from the LoJack® system that was installed when the vehicle was purchased, it was recovered later that same day.

On May 4th, 2014, the Honda’s owner contacted the Orlando Police Department to report that their SUV was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the CR-V, which was installed at Maroone Honda of Fort Lauderdale, FL, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from the Orlando PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Honda was located traveling south on Semoran Blvd. The officers performed a traffic stop and took the suspect into custody. The CR-V was retrieved and soon returned to its pleased owner.
