This case involves a Lexus ES 350 that was stolen from the parking lot of a club in Orange County, FL, on a recent Sunday. Local law enforcement recovered the car that same day with help from the LoJack® system that was installed when the vehicle was purchased.

On April 27th, 2014, the owner of the Lexus contacted the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to report that their vehicle was stolen. Deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the ES 350, which was installed at Lexus of Queens, NY.

A short while later, deputies from the Orange County SO K9 Unit picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Lexus was located in a hotel lot, where it was parked and unoccupied. Police retrieved the ES 350 and quickly returned it to its grateful owners.
