In this case, a Ford Freestyle was stolen from Bucks Township, PA on a recent Wednesday. Local law enforcement made a fast, safe, same day recovery of the missing SUV with help from the LoJack® system, which was installed when the Freestyle was purchased.

On June 11th, 2014, the Ford’s owner contacted the Falls Township Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Freestyle, which was installed at Chapman Ford in Philadelphia, PA.

A short time later, an officer assigned to the Philadelphia Police Automotive Services Division picked up the silent homing signal from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computer in his patrol vehicle. The officer located the Ford in a parking lot adjacent to a commercial business. After a brief surveillance, a man entered the SUV and drove it into the building. The officer called for backup, entered the building and retrieved the Freestyle. The victim was very pleased to have their vehicle returned to them.
