The owners of a 2010 Kia Forte discovered it missing from their Baltimore, MD home on a recent Saturday. Thanks to the excellent work of local law enforcement, with help from the LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased, it was recovered later that same day.

On June 14th, 2014, the Kia’s owners of a 2010 Kia Forte contacted the Baltimore County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Forte, which was installed at Koon’s Lincoln Mercury in Owings Mills, MD.

A short while later, officers from the Baltimore County PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Kia was located on Paula Place in the Rosedale section of Baltimore, where it was found parked and unoccupied. The police retrieved the Forte and soon returned it to its pleased owners.
