The owners of a 2013 Dodge Journey discovered their SUV was missing from the parking lot of their gated apartment complex in New Orleans, LA, on a recent Monday. The LoJack® system that they had installed when they purchased their vehicle just one year ago proved to have been an excellent investment. With LoJack’s help, local law enforcement recovered the Journey in just minutes after activation.

On May 5th, 2014, the Dodge’s owner contacted the New Orleans Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Journey, which was installed at Premier Chrysler Jeep Dodge in New Orleans, LA.

A short while later, officers from the New Orleans PD and the Louisiana State Police picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Dodge was located, parked and abandoned near the Haynes Blvd Levee. The Journey was in great shape and was soon returned to its happy owners.
