On a recent Sunday, the owners of a Chrysler Town & Country in Baltimore, MD, discovered their minivan was missing. Because this vehicle was protected with the LoJack® system when it was purchased, local law enforcement, with help from LoJack, recovered it later that day.

The Town & Country’s owner contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen on June 8th, 2014. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Town & Country, which was installed at Fox Chevrolet in Baltimore, MD.

A short while later, officers from the Baltimore City PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen minivan on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computers, the officers located the Chrysler on W. North Avenue in Baltimore, where it was parked and unoccupied. The Town & Country’s owners were grateful to have their minivan returned to them.
