The owner of a Land Rover Discovery was awakened in the early morning hours of a recent Thursday by noises coming from his driveway. He looked out the window and discovered his SUV had been stolen. Thanks to the great work of local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system that was installed when the vehicle was purchased, recovery took less than 90 minutes after activation.

On June 5th, 2014, the Land Rover’s owner reported the crime to the Fulton County Police. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Discovery, which was installed at Land Rover of Parsippany, NJ, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers with the Fulton County PD received the silent homing signal from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Land Rover behind a vacant home in a rural area, where it was parked and abandoned. The Discovery was retrieved and soon returned to its relieved owner.
