The owner of a Lexus SC400 left it parked at a residence in Portland on a recent Friday. 24 hours later, the car was gone. The LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased helped local law enforcement perform a fast, safe same-day recovery.

When the theft was discovered on May 28th, 2014, it was reported to the Portland Police Bureau. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the SC400 was then automatically activated.

Later that evening, a Portland PB officer received the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The Lexus was found parked and abandoned in the area of SE 32nd Street and SE Olsen Street in Milwaukie. Police retrieved the undamaged SC400 and soon returned it to its grateful owners.
