The owner of a 2010 Honda Accord discovered it was missing from his Paramus, NJ home on a recent Monday. Local police, assisted by the LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased, recovered it in a nearby town later that same day.

On May 30th, 2014, the Honda’s owner contacted the Paramus Police Department to report that his vehicle had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Paramus Honda in Paramus, NJ.

A short while later, deputies from the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent homing signals coming from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Honda was located near the intersection East 39th and Market Streets in Paterson, where it was found parked and unoccupied. The PCSD retrieved the Accord and soon returned it to its appreciative owner.
