The owner of an Infiniti M45 made two mistakes when he parked his car in front of his Frisco, TX home on a recent Wednesday. He left the keys inside and he didn’t lock the driver’s side door. That was all the opportunity a passing thief needed to take advantage and drive off in the vehicle. The LoJack® system that was installed at purchase helped local law enforcement recover the vehicle and take a suspect into custody.

On May 14th, 2014, the Infiniti’s owner contacted the Frisco Police to report that his vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the M45, which was installed at Crest Auto Group in Plano, TX, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from the Frisco PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Infiniti was located in an apartment complex lot, where it was parked and unoccupied. After a brief surveillance, a suspect approached the vehicle and was detained. The M45 was in good condition and was soon returned to its happy owner.
