A Toyota Tacoma was stolen on a recent Wednesday in Denver, CO. Because this truck was protected with the LoJack® system, local law enforcement located it in less than an hour after activation.

On May 28th, 2014, the Toyota’s owners contacted the Denver Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the NCIC state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Tacoma, which was installed at Pueblo Toyota in Pueblo, CO.

Just a few minutes later, officers and deputies with the Denver Police Department, Commerce City Police Department, Adams County Sheriff’s Office and the Aurora Police Department picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen truck with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Officers from the Denver PD located the Toyota on North Willow Street, where it was parked and abandoned. The Tacoma was recovered undamaged, and was soon returned to its very happy owners.
