This case involved a 2011 Toyota Corolla stolen in the Cherry Hill section of Baltimore, MD, and found the same day in another neighborhood, Morrell Park. This fast recovery was due to the excellent work of local law enforcement with help from the LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased.

On May 17th, 2014, the Toyota’s owner contacted the Baltimore City Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the Corolla, which was installed at Jerry’s Toyota in Baltimore, MD, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from the Baltimore City PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Toyota was located on Washington Boulevard in the Morrell Park area. The occupants of the car were taken into custody, and the Corolla was soon returned to its grateful owners.
