When a Mitsubishi Eclipse was stolen from its owners’ home in Nashville, TX on a recent Sunday, its owners were grateful that there was a LoJack® system installed inside the vehicle. With assistance from LoJack, local police were able to make a same-day recovery.

On May 25th, 2014, the Mitsubishi’s owner contacted the Metro Nashville Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Eclipse, which was installed at Daytona Mitsubishi of Daytona, FL.

Later that same day, a Metro Nashville PD officer picked up the silent homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The Mitsubishi was located parked and abandoned in a residential area. Officers retrieved the undamaged Eclipse and soon returned it to its relieved owners.
