The owner of the Ford F-350 in this case was attending a baseball game in Federal Way, WA, and parked his truck in a lot located near the ball field. After the game, he returned to the lot and discovered the pickup had been stolen. The LoJack® system that was installed when the vehicle was purchased demonstrated its value by assisting local law enforcement in recovering it later that same evening.

On May 10th, 2014, the Ford’s owner contacted the Federal Way Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the F-350, which was installed at Future Ford in Roseville, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, a Federal Way PD officer received the silent homing signals from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The Ford was located on 55th Avenue SW where it was parked and abandoned on the shoulder of the roadway. The undamaged F-350 was retrieved and soon returned to its happy owner.
