A used car dealership in Lynnwood, WA was the victim of fraud when a customer purchased a Lexus ES 350 with fake information. After all attempts to locate the car and the purchaser failed, the dealership notified local law enforcement. With help from the LoJack® system that was installed in the vehicle, police were able to recover it that same day.

On April 21st, 2014, the crime was reported to the Lynnwood Police Department by the used car dealer. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the ES 350, which was installed at Lexus of Tacoma in Fife, WA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, a Kent PD officer received the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in the patrol vehicle. The Lexus was found parked and abandoned on 95th Court South. The undamaged ES 350 was retrieved and soon returned to the grateful dealership.
