The owner of a Honda Accord parked the car in a multi-level parking garage at a mall in Seattle, WA. After a long day, the owner was ready to go home, but the car was missing. Thanks to the excellent work of local law enforcement, with help from the LoJack® system hidden in the vehicle, it was recovered quickly, safely, and without any damage.

On April 17th, 2014, the Honda’s owner reported the crime to the Seattle Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle identification number into the state and federal crime computers. That process automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Magic Toyota in Edmonds, WA.

A while later, a Seattle PD officer received the silent homing signal transmitting from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The Honda was located near the intersection of North 83rd Street and Stone Avenue North, where it was parked and abandoned. The undamaged Accord was soon returned to its appreciative owner. This was the second incident of this car being stolen and recovered by police assisted by LoJack.
