The owners of a Chevrolet Impala in Houston, TX, were the victim of an assault and robbery on a recent Friday. Several men attacked them and then stole their vehicle. The LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased assisted police in recovering it quickly and safely that same day.

On May 9th, 2014, the Chevy’s owners reported the crime to the Houston Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Impala, which was installed at Koons Volkswagen in Suitland, MD, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from the Houston PD department picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Chevy was found parked and abandoned on Broad Street. Police retrieved the Impala and soon returned it to its appreciative owners.
