It was around 1 a.m. on a Monday morning when the Camden, NJ resident in this case noticed her Honda Accord was missing from its parking spot in front of her home. The LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased proved its value by helping local police recover the vehicle, without damage, later that same day.

On April 28th, 2014, the Honda’s owner contacted the Camden County Metro Police Department to report that her vehicle had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Honda of Turnersville, NJ.

A short while later, officers from the New Jersey/Pennsylvania Delaware River Bridge PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Honda was found in a park on Linden Street, where it was parked and abandoned. The owners of the Accord were thrilled to have their Accord returned to them so quickly.
