The LoJack® system helps law enforcement recover stolen cars, trucks, vans and motorcycles fast. This is important because the faster your asset is found, the less time the thieves have to damage or dismantle it. In this case, a ford F-250 pickup stolen in Westminster, CO, is recovered later that same day by local police assisted by LoJack.

On March 8th, 2014, the Ford’s owners contacted the Westminster Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the F-250, which was installed at Valley Chrysler Dodge in Boulder, CO, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, deputies from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen truck with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The deputies located the Ford parked and abandoned. The F-250 was recovered and soon returned to its pleased owner.
