A Honda Accord was stolen on a recent Friday in Longmont, CO. Thanks to the excellent work of local law enforcement, with help from the LoJack® system that was installed inside the car, the vehicle was recovered that same day.

On April 9th, 2014, the Honda’s owners contacted the Longmont Police Department and reported that their vehicle had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Huntington Beach Mazda in Huntington Beach, CA.

A short while later, officers with the Longmont PD and Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputies picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Honda was located on Delaware Avenue, where it was parked and abandoned. The Accord was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owner.
