In this case, the owners of a Pontiac Grand Prix left the keys in the car when parking it outside their Los Angeles, CA home. Unfortunately, someone passing by noticed before the owners did, and took off in the vehicle. Because the Grand Prix was protected with the LoJack® system, local law enforcement recovered it quickly, safely and damage-free, and arrested the thief as well.

On May 4th, 2014, the Pontiac’s owners contacted local police to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Grand Prix, which was installed at Toyota of Hollywood, CA.

A short while later, flight officers picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their air ship. The Pontiac was located parked in the lot of a bus station with a man sitting inside. The officers approached the vehicle and took the occupant into custody. The owner of the Grand Prix was thrilled that his car had been recovered without any damage.
