The Lowell, MA residents in this case woke up on a recent Wednesday morning to discover that their Honda Civic was missing from where they had parked it at their residence the previous evening. The LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased helped local law enforcement recover it quickly and safely.

On April 24th, 2014, the Honda’s owner reported the crime to the Lowell Police. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Civic, which was installed at Honda North in Danvers, MA.

A short while later, officers from several law enforcement agencies began picking up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Eventually, State Police troopers from the Revere Barracks located the Honda, parked and abandoned at the intersection of Washington and Hamilton Streets in Lynn. The Civic was retrieved from the scene and soon returned to its very thankful owners.
