On a recent Sunday, the owner of a Toyota Tundra discovered it was missing from where he had parked it in front of his home in Irvington, NJ. Thanks to local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system installed in the pickup, recovery took place that same day, quickly, safely, and without any damage to the truck.

On April 20th, 2014, the Toyota’s owner contacted the Irvington Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Tundra, which was installed at Hudson Toyota in Jersey City, NJ.

A short while later, officers from the Union County PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen pickup on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Toyota was found in a shopping mall lot where it was parked and abandoned. The undamaged Tundra was retrieved and soon returned to its delighted owner.
