The Harvey, LA resident in this case parked his Chevrolet Camaro in the lot at his apartment complex on a recent Wednesday night and went to bed. When he woke up the next morning, his car was gone. The LoJack® system that was installed when the vehicle was purchased proved to be a great investment. With LoJack’s assistance, local police were able to recover the Camaro quickly and safely.

On March 20th, 2014, the Chevy’s owner contacted the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office to report that his vehicle was stolen. Deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Camaro, which was installed at Maroone Chevrolet in Pembroke Pines, FL.

Just a few minutes later, officers from the New Orleans PD and troopers from the Louisiana State Police picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Chevy was located at an apartment complex off Crowder Blvd, where it was parked and abandoned. The Camaro was in great shape, and was soon returned to its happy owner.
