The Las Vegas, NV residents in this case were away from home for five days. When they returned, they discovered their 2012 Ford Focus was missing from their driveway. The LoJack® system that they had installed when purchasing their vehicle proved its value by assisting local police in recovering the Focus in less than an hour after activation.

On April 3rd, 2014, the Ford’s owners contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Focus, which was installed at Friendly Ford in Las Vegas, NV.

A short while later, officers with the LVMP picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Ford was located in a neighborhood just north of US Highway 95 and North Jones, where it was parked and abandoned. The undamaged focus was retrieved and soon returned to its appreciative owners.
