The owners of a Lexus RX 330 were carjacked in Temple Hills, MD recently. They were unharmed but their Lexus RX 330 was taken. Thanks to the efforts of law enforcement, with assistance from the LoJack® system installed in the SUV, the vehicle was recovered quickly, safely, and without any damage.

On April 16th, 2014, the owner of the Lexus contacted the Prince George’s County Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the RX 330, which was installed at Enterprise Car Sales in Waldorf, MD.

A short while later, detectives from the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The detectives located the Lexus on Gainesville Street SE, where it was parked and unoccupied. The undamaged RX 330 was retrieved and soon returned to its happy owners.
