The owner of a Cadillac Escalade in Hall County, GA woke up on a recent Wednesday morning and discovered that his SUV had been stolen from his driveway. The LoJack® system that was installed when the vehicle was purchased proved its value by helping local police recover the SUV quickly and safely.

On April 16th, 2014, the Cadillac’s owner contacted the Hall County Sheriff’s Dept. Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Escalade, which was installed at Lexus of Jacksonville, FL.

A short while later, the DeKalb County PD Air Unit picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Cadillac was located on a side street in Decatur with two passengers inside. Ground units took the two into custody and retrieved the vehicle. The Escalade was soon returned to its thankful owner.
