The owner of a Honda Accord took his family to a movie on a recent Tuesday night in Atlanta, GA. Unfortunately, their fun ended when they discovered their car was missing from the theater’s parking lot. Thanks to the LoJack® system that was installed when the vehicle was purchased, local police were able to recover it quickly and safely.

On April 15th, 2014, the Honda’s owner of a Honda Accord contacted the Atlanta Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Honda Mall of Georgia in Buford, GA.

A short while later, the Atlanta PD traffic unit picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Honda was found parked and abandoned on the street. Officers retrieved the Accord and soon returned it to its thankful owner.
