Austin, Texas Police Department Recover Stolen Toyota Corolla with Help from the LoJack® System

The Austin, TX resident in this case chose to protect his Toyota Corolla with the LoJack® system when he purchased it. He discovered what an excellent investment LoJack was when his car was taken from his apartment complex on a recent Monday. Local law enforcement, assisted by LoJack, recovered his Corolla quickly and safely.
On March 31st, 2014, the Toyota’s owner contacted the Austin Police to report that his vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Corolla, which was installed at Champion Toyota in Austin, TX, was then automatically activated.
A few minutes later, officers from the Austin PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Toyota was found parked and abandoned in front of a private home. The police retrieved the Corolla and quickly returned it to its happy owner.
