The owner of a 2014 Ford Fiesta was hard at work on a recent Thursday when he discovered his vehicle missing from his employer’s parking lot. The LoJack® system that he had installed when purchasing his car just two months ago proved what a good investment it was. Local law enforcement, assisted by LoJack, recovered the Fiesta that same day and took two suspects into custody as well.

On April 3rd, 2014, the Ford’s owner contacted the Houston Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the Fiesta, which was installed at AutoNation Ford in Katy, TX, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from the Houston PD picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Ford was located driving into a motel parking lot at Southwest Freeway and Hillcroft. Two females exited the car and were taken into custody. The Fiesta was retrieved and quickly returned to its thankful owner.
