In this case, a 2014 Nissan Altima was stolen from a dealership in Fresno, CA, and recovered in less than three hours, thanks to local law enforcement with help from the LoJack® system installed in the car.

On March 14th, 2014, dealer management contacted the Fresno Police Department to report that the vehicle had been stolen from the lot. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Altima.

A short while later, an investigator from Fresno HEAT, the Fresno County Auto Theft Task Force, picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his undercover police vehicle. The investigator located the Nissan at an apartment complex near San Bruno and 4th avenues, where it was parked and unoccupied. After a brief surveillance, a male approached the vehicle. He was detained and later arrested. The undamaged Altima was retrieved and soon returned to the grateful dealership.
