This case involves a Cadillac DeVille stolen from the owner’s apartment complex in Dallas, TX, by her ex-boyfriend.  Although this victim’s heart may be broken, the LoJack® system installed in her car at purchase was working just fine, and helped local law enforcement recover the vehicle later that same day.

On March 6th, 2014, the Caddy’s owner reported the incident to the Dallas Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the DeVille, which was installed at Massey Cadillac in Garland, TX.

A short while later, officers from the Dallas PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Cadillac on Newhall Street, where it was parked in the front yard of a home. The homeowner stated that she had just bought it from the suspected thief. An arrest warrant for the ex-boyfriend was issued. The DeVille was retrieved in good condition and soon returned to its grateful owner.
