When a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado was stolen from a business in Houston, TX, its owners were glad they made the decision to have the LoJack® system installed when purchasing their pickup. With LoJack’s help, local police were able to recover the truck in less than a half hour after activation.

On March 24th, 2014, the Chevy’s owner contacted the Houston Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Silverado, which was installed at Ron Craft Chevrolet Cadillac in Baytown, TX.

Twenty minutes later, an air ship from the Texas Department of Public Safety picked up the homing signals from the stolen pickup on its onboard LoJack tracking computer.  The flight crew located the Chevy at a gas/convenience store and notified ground units, who retrieved the truck and arrested three suspects. The Silverado was soon returned to its grateful owners.
