The owners of a 2010 Ford F-150 parked their truck in the parking lot of a hospital in Memphis, TN, and probably felt a little sick when they exited the facility and discovered their truck was missing. The prescription for relief to this painful situation was the LoJack® system that was installed when the truck was purchased. Local law enforcement, aided by LoJack, recovered the undamaged F-150 later that same day.

On March 14th, 2014, the Ford’s owner contacted the Memphis Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the F-150, which was installed at Landers Ford in Memphis, TN, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from the Memphis PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Ford was located at an apartment complex, where it was found parked and abandoned. The F-150 was retrieved and soon returned to its thankful owners.
