The owner of a construction company discovered his Ford F-800 dump truck missing from a job site on a recent Sunday afternoon, after parking it there 24 hours earlier. He was grateful that this asset was protected with the LoJack® system. With LoJack’s help, local police recovered the truck in less than a half hour after activation.

On March 9th, 2014 the Ford’s owner contacted the Woodbridge Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the F-800.

Minutes later, a patrol officer from the Essex County Sheriff’s Department picked up the homing signals coming from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer located the Ford parked and unoccupied at a construction site in Newark. The F-800 was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owners.
