The Everett, MA resident in this case discovered her car keys missing on a recent Saturday night, just before midnight, and then found her Chevrolet Monte Carlo was gone from her driveway as well.  Thanks to her local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system installed in the vehicle, it was recovered early the next morning.

On March 1st, 2014, the Chevy’s owner reported the crime to the Everett Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This process automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Monte Carlo, which was installed at Enterprise Car Sales in Woburn, MA.

A short while later, officers from the Malden PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Chevy parked and unoccupied on Bowdoin Street in Malden. The undamaged Monte Carlo was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owner.
