The Henderson, NV residents in this case discovered their Honda Civic had been stolen overnight from their residence on a recent Thursday. These victims also discovered what a good choice it was to have the LoJack® system installed when they purchased the car. It took less than an hour after activation for local law enforcement, assisted by LoJack, to recover the vehicle.

On March 13th, 2014, the Honda’s owner contacted the Henderson Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Civic, which was installed at Findlay Honda in Las Vegas, NV.

Several minutes later, officers with the Henderson PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Honda, parked and abandoned on the street in Henderson. The undamaged Civic was retrieved and soon returned to its happy owner.
