The Arizona residents in this case had driven to Colorado for a vacation. Unfortunately, their 2012 Subaru Impreza WRX was stolen while parked on the street in downtown Denver. The LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased helped Denver law enforcement recover the Impreza quickly and safely.

On March 8th, 2014, the Subaru’s owners contacted Denver Police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the NCIC state and federal crime computer. This process automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Impreza, which was installed at San Tan Honda Superstore in Chandler, AZ.

A short while later, the homing signals from the stolen car were picked up by Denver PD officers on the LoJack Police tracking computer installed in their patrol vehicles. The Subaru was located near the intersection of 19th and Franklin, where it was found parked and abandoned. The police retrieved the Impreza and soon returned it to its relieved owners.
