The owners of a Chevrolet TrailBlazer in Catonsville, MD, discovered their SUV missing on a recent Thursday morning. The LoJack® system they had installed when they purchased their vehicle turned out to be a great investment. With LoJack’s help, local police were able to recover the SUV in less than four and half hours after activation.

On March 20th, 2014, the Chevy’s owner contacted the Baltimore County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the TrailBlazer, which was installed at CarMax in Ellicott City, MD.

A short while later, officers in the Prince Georges County PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Chevy near the intersection of Garrett A. Morgan Blvd and Central Avenue in Prince Georges County, where it was parked and unoccupied. The TrailBlazer was retrieved and soon returned to its appreciative owner.
