On a recent Thursday morning, the owner of a Jeep Grand Cherokee discovered that her SUV had been stolen overnight from her Fall River, MA residence. Her local law enforcement, with an assist from the LoJack® system, made sure she didn’t have to worry long by recovering the vehicle in less than 90 minutes after activation.

On January 23rd, 2014, the Jeep’s owner reported the crime to the Fall River Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Grand Cherokee, which was installed at Midway Motors in Abington, MA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, Fall River Police Officers picked up the homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Jeep was located on a road near a state forest, where it was parked and abandoned, but still running with the key in the ignition. The Grand Cherokee was retrieved and soon returned to its thankful owner.
