The Texas resident in this case had parked his Chevrolet Silverado in his driveway the previous evening. Imagine his shock when he awoke the next morning and discovered it missing! Thanks to the great work of his local law enforcement agencies, assisted by the LoJack® system installed when the pickup was purchased, the truck was found quickly and safely that same day.

On March 6th, 2014, the Chevy’s owner immediately contacted the Harris County Constable Pct. 5 office and reported his vehicle stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Silverado, which was installed at Davis Chevrolet GEO in Houston, TX.

A short while later, troopers from the Texas Highway Patrol picked up the homing signals from the stolen pickup on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers found the Chevy parked and abandoned in a discount store lot on State Highway 249. After a brief surveillance, the Silverado was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owner.
