When a Toyota Corolla was discovered missing from its owner’s driveway on a recent Thursday morning, the LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased made the situation a lot less stressful. With LoJack’s help, it took less than a half hour after activation for local law enforcement to recover the vehicle.

On March 13th, 2014, the Toyota’s owner contacted the Anne Arundel County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the Corolla, which was installed at Brown’s Toyota City in Glen Burnie, MD.

Just a few minutes later, patrol officers in Baltimore picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Toyota was found stopped at a red light. Officers approached the car and arrested its two occupants. The Corolla was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owner.
